Regular Is Extraordinary

This past weekend I had the honor of repeat customers both days. We laughed, smiled, talked, engaged and found more joy in the goat walk the second time around. Seeing regular customers really sets my soul on fire, it’s the little boost I often need, that tells me we are doing something special. I dream big, but am just a regular woman. My kids are fantastic, but they are just regular kids. My goats are amazing, but they are just regular goats. One could argue that I may have extraordinary passion for goats, the kids may have extraordinary skill sets, and the goats may have extraordinary instincts; but our secret weapon is regularity. We just do the same things over and over with a high level of predictability.

To combat monotony I spend a good portion of my day imagining all the incredible ways I want to expand our goat experience; more goats, more obstacles, more time….more, more, more. The challenge in growing is balancing innovation and predictability. This Fall I am excited to add more animals and more time together, slowly evolving our adventure. As times change and what is regular also morphs into something new, having repeat customers brings me solace. Of course I may be biased but I think our goat walks are quite extraordinary.
